Women traveling solo is on the rise. Recently TripAdvisor came out with the fact that of the women they surveyed in South East Asia in February 2015, 47% were planning two to four solo trips this year. Women empowerment and liberation have emboldened the women to step out and see the world for themselves. At the same time the world has woken up to this fact and a number of countries are endeavoring to create a safer environment for the women travelers. The ten countries considered, so far, as the safest in Asia are as follows:

Singapore has an incredible low crime rate with 0.1% reported assaulted and 1.1% experience of theft. It is considered to be the second safest country after Japan and 98% of the Inhabitants agree with that. Though it’s a small island comparatively, it is a global financial center with a tropical climate. In Chinatown the red and gold Buddha’s Tooth Relic Temple, the Arab street, Sentosa, Singapore Flyer, the zoo and Little India are places worth a visit. The distinct feature of this country is that its public transport connects the entire country.
